The 2nd Edition of the
Festival Aperitivi Musicali "On the Thread of Memory" kicks off at Palazzo Tupputi, a concert series curated by the
AlterAzioni Association scheduled
from September 7 to 28, 2025, included in the
"ESTATE IN BLU 2025" event calendar, with the patronage of the
Department of Culture of the Municipality of Bisceglie and the "N. Piccinni" Conservatory of Music in Bari.
The series was created with the dual purpose of offering musical moments at an unusual time for our communities, effectively creating another opportunity to enjoy the beauties of the city's Historic Center. Following the 2023 edition dedicated to the MUSICAL COLLECTIONS donated to the AlterAzioni Association by the Pansini and Di Clemente families, this year's edition returns dedicated to the "N. Piccinni" Conservatory of Music in its Centennial year, 1925-2025. The AlterAzioni association has chosen to celebrate with an edition entirely dedicated to young Apulian talents, the institution's excellences.
It begins
on Sunday, September 7, featuring the
4SAXQUARTET, a saxophone quartet consisting of
Gaetano Fora, Luigi Lovicario, Gianvito Murgese, and Biagio Pugliese, students from the saxophone classes of teachers Paolo Debenedetto and Valter Nicodemi [a lecturer who will succeed the current Director, Maestro Corrado Roselli, for the next term 2025-2028, ed]. The quartet will present a varied program with original music and adaptations specifically made for this formation, ranging from Piazzolla to Weill, from Itturalde to Bizet, with also unpublished proposals from contemporary composers and a final tribute to the unforgettable Nino Rota.
The events will continue on Sunday, September 14, with the AlterSinfonietta String Ensemble, which will accompany the students of the
"String Instrument Ensemble Laboratory" Masterclass conducted by Maestro Giovanni Zonno, scheduled from September 10 to 14, organized as part of the same series. An original proposal that will give the most deserving participants the opportunity to play as soloists accompanied by the string ensemble, as well as a valuable opportunity to study the specific repertoire for strings with one of the most appreciated violinists of our Puglia.
Following this, on
Sunday, September 21, a very particular ensemble, the
DUO LIBERE CORDE, consisting of Irene Torres and Giulia Abbaticchio from the harp class of Professor Sara Simari.
The series will conclude on
Sunday, September 28 with another very particular proposal, a trombone trio, the
Cronos Trombone, formed by Nicola Bruno, Raffaele Filocaro, and Gabriele Cacciapaglia, from the Chamber Music class of Professor Anna Fasanella.
With this Second Edition, the "Aperitivi Musicali On the Thread of Memory" Festival, confirms itself as an innovative and high-quality initiative in the name of enhancing the many young talents of our territory, increasing the local awareness of such a prestigious institution as the Bari Conservatory, and a valuable opportunity to promote the desestationalization of the cultural offer of the city and the entire Bisceglie territory.
Indeed, this year, for the first time, agreements with local wine and food operators are planned to offer the passing tourist, as well as the passionate Bisceglian, a comfortable welcome in the city.
All concerts will be held at Palazzo Tupputi, Hall of Mirrors, in the Historic Center of Bisceglie, doors open at 11:00 AM, starts at 11:30 AM.
