LABORATORIO TEATRALE "SENZA MASCHERE"

WITHOUT MASKS
A Journey into the Heart of Theatre with Vito Signorile

Entering the Actor Studio room at the Abeliano Theatre means crossing a fragile and vibrant threshold, where silences emerge before words, and from silence, images, voices, and stories are born. This is where "Without Masks," the experimental acting and creative writing workshop conceived and directed by Vito Signorile, comes back to life, scheduled from October 15, 2025, to June 15, 2026.

An Emotional Experience
Signorile, an actor and director always in love with theatre as a place of encounter, summarizes the experience of the recently concluded three-year period:
"Many have emerged enriched: some continue to play with theatre and writing, others have embarked on a professional path. Emotional, surprising."

Stories Born from the Workshop
The workshop takes place in the Actor Studio room at the Abeliano Theatre: a space where silences, gestures, and words transform into authentic theatre. Through exercises on body, voice, rhythm, listening, and trust, each participant is guided in a growth journey that leads to the staging of a final performance—this year an important Pirandello classic—and collective and individual scenic writings.
An example is "L'Amante," written by Signorile along with Antonella Liso, one of the standout voices in the last three-year period. A drama that intertwines reality and imagination, dream and daily life, confirming the creative value of a journey that brings not only stories but people to the stage.

An Invitation Open to Teachers
A special workshop is also offered for teachers, titled "Theatre as a Tool for Teaching," designed for those who want to use theatre as a teaching key.
