Born from the author's enterprising youthful investigation into the traces of popular traditions and songs of our land, this 'Songbook' of villanelle, serenades, folk songs, and ancient nursery rhymes celebrates the suffering and joy of the Apulian people, becoming a symbol akin to the famous Bari recipe.
Among the ingredients of this rediscovery, which is where the roots of our culture lie, is the vibrant voice of the people that, through Vito Signorile, evokes rural landscapes and sea stories, hopes and illusions of laborers and sailors sung in the old-fashioned way and thus still intact in spirit between lyricism and anger.
A show that has surpassed 1600 performances but continues to be requested and awaited by those who have yet to 'taste' it as well as by those who wish to savor it again like one does with a favorite dish.
The participation of the audience is an immersive experience. The long section dedicated to the world of childhood reveals the genuine desire for "regression" from viewers of all ages.
