**I HAD A YELLOW SWEATER**
*Exhibition by Guo Bingxin*

In the family album, there is a photograph: a childhood recognized at first glance by the yellow of a sweater. It's not just any ornamental detail, but a returning clue, a hue that ties together the fragments and gives substance to memory.
From this suggestion arises I Had a Yellow Sweater, a solo exhibition by Guo Bingxin. The project begins with the almost tactile evidence of a worn color, its reappearance over time as an emotional signature and a trace of oneself.
The artist, born in China and now residing in Italy, develops an autobiographical line that eludes linear storytelling. The images don't explain; they surface, observe, linger. On paper and canvas, restrained presences appear, figures and forms oscillating between memory and perception, as if each work held its own, subjective time, triggered by minimal and unpredictable events.
I Had a Yellow Sweater is not an exhibition about identity, but about its instability. The title does not introduce a theme but rather summons a color, an inner sound. The yellow becomes a silent backdrop on which dialogues with time and the inherent changes in the flow of things establish themselves: warmth, signal, return.
