Trassùna tracce, visioni e risonanze di passaggio

The project "Trassùna – traces, visions, and resonances of passage" promoted by Atalante ETS and financed through the "Contemporary Art Residencies in Puglia" call promoted by Puglia Culture is underway.

"Trassùna" is an artistic residency project that will take place at Palazzo Pinto in the municipality of Sammichele di Bari, with the participation of four artists from Puglia, other Italian regions, and abroad. The project aims to foster the encounter between contemporary artistic practices and territories, establishing a relationship with local communities through the language of animated film, illustration, and sound design.

The residencies, which will run until December, will see each artist spending a week within the spaces of the municipal library of Palazzo Pinto, which is currently managed by the association Atalante.

Throughout the artistic journey, an animated short film curated by artists Marta Sniezek and Benedetta Fasson, an illustration curated by Valentina Tamburrano, and a visual and sound installation curated by Giulia Deval will be created.

The works will subsequently be disseminated in the Nodes of the Galactic Network and in other exhibition and cultural contexts.

"Trassùna" also involves the active engagement of the local youth community, both through the support of the Municipal Administration and through the associations and schools with which Atalante already collaborates thanks to the "Palazzo Pinto – Creative Community" initiative funded by the "Common Places" call. During the residencies, informal open events, public meetings, and intermediate presentations will be activated, allowing interested parties to get in direct contact with the artists and their creative processes.

The animation activities will be tailored to the specifics of the territory and will focus on the enhancement of local memories, the initiation of a dialogue between generations, and the accessibility of contemporary art languages. The goal is to create a lasting cultural and social impact, which strengthens awareness of intangible heritage and stimulates new perspectives on the territorial reality. These activities, therefore, aim to foster the connection between artistic languages, intangible heritage, and new forms of active citizenship.
