Who says the perfect number is three? At the Casa delle Arti, it's TWO!

Riflessi d’Arte Aps-Ets is pleased to present “TWO”, a dual painting exhibition that combines the languages and sensitivities of two exceptional artists: Rafael Aguirre and Paola Convertino.

From October 4 to October 12, 2025, the halls of the Casa delle Arti in Martina Franca (via Arco Casavola 8, just a few steps from the Basilica of San Martino) will host a chromatic and poetic dialogue between Mexico and Puglia, tradition and contemporaneity, journey and roots. The inauguration vernissage will be on Saturday, October 4 at 6:00 PM, and admission will be free throughout the week.

Rafael Aguirre, a self-taught visual artist and trained architect, is currently one of the most recognized voices in contemporary Mexican painting. With over forty years of career, nearly five hundred solo and one thousand collective exhibitions across Mexico, the United States, and Europe, he has made painting his life: “he lives to paint and paints to live.” From desert landscapes to European atmospheres, his works tell the world with a masterful brushstroke and vibrant color.

Paola Convertino, a painter from Alberobello, brings the light and soul of the Valle d’Itria to her canvases. Active since 1995 with her studio in the monumental area of the city of Trulli, she has successfully intertwined chromatic intensity and narrative sensitivity, drawing inspiration from masters like Gauguin. In addition to her artistic production, she has decisively contributed to the enhancement of the local cultural scene through exhibitions, competitions, and initiatives with the Solo Arte association.

“TWO” is the encounter of two pictorial universes that, although geographically distant, find common ground in the expressive power of color and the ability to narrate life through art.
