Benito Gonzalez piano trio live a Leuca

**Lampus opens the indoor season in Leuca with the Benito Gonzalez Piano Trio**

“Inventive, daring, and magnetic; powerful and rhythmically explosive”: this is how the international press describes *Benito Gonzalez*, a Venezuelan pianist among the most sought-after on the contemporary scene.

On Sunday, October 19 at 7:00 PM, at the Hotel Terminal in Leuca, Lampus – Jazz a GoGo will inaugurate the new indoor season with the Benito Gonzalez Piano Trio, an exceptional group bringing the essence of American jazz to Salento.

On stage:
• Benito Gonzalez – piano
• Darryl Hall – double bass
• Donald Edwards – drums

From the Americas to Leuca, the musical dialogue continues under the banner of high-level jazz.

This exclusive event for Salento marks the natural continuation of the summer success of I Concerti del Faro, a festival that hosted Buster Williams, Mafalda Minnozzi, and Paul Wertico at the foot of the Leuca lighthouse, transforming the southernmost tip of Puglia into a key hub for international jazz.

Since 2016, Lampus has been promoting music and culture as drivers of identity and territorial development, weaving together great international artists with symbolic places in Salento. Its formats – including I Concerti del Faro, Jazz on Board, Note di Luna Piena, Attenti a quei Duo, and Piano da Impazzire – combine musical quality, hospitality, and enhancement of the landscape, turning each event into an authentic and memorable experience.

As usual, the indoor season also fits into Lampus' project of seasonality adjustment and local music tourism promotion: an invitation to experience Leuca all year round by combining prestigious concerts with dedicated stay packages for an experience that blends culture, relaxation, and territory.
"Opening the season with a trio of this caliber is a clear signal," says Paolo Insalata, president and artistic director of the cultural association Lampus. "In Leuca, excellent jazz is made twelve months a year. Benito Gonzalez represents the best of the international scene, and his presence confirms the credibility our project has gained even beyond national borders."
