Rosso Salentino II edizione

Friday, October 31st, in Piazza Orsini del Balzo in the heart of the historic center of Mesagne, "Rosso Salentino" - Festival of good wine and local flavors returns! The second edition of the event, sponsored by the municipality of Mesagne and dedicated to the rediscovery of the true traditional flavors of our land, will keep you company until Saturday, November 1st. The artistic direction has once again been entrusted to Fabrizio Valentini, a pioneer in organizing highly successful city events that have become fixed appointments (see "Boccale D'oro"), ensuring the absolute quality of the evenings. The wine serving is entrusted to "Tenute Lu Spada," and besides enjoying a carefully selected lineup of food and wine at the stands set up in Piazza Orsini, the atmosphere will be filled with colors and music thanks to the characteristic Christmas Markets, the "MarinoPark" rides, and live performances.
THE PROGRAM:
Friday, October 31st, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, features the traveling show of the "DIXIE&SODA" Street Band, an acoustic quartet in the Dixieland style. The repertoire includes songs from the American tradition of the 20s/30s and Italian classics, with music that has a retro flavor, is lively, and includes moments of irony. In the second part of the evening, from 9:30 PM to midnight, there will be a concert by "INNOCENTI EVASI," a tribute to Lucio Battisti.
Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Christmas Markets open. From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, there's a traveling show by the "GAMBLING BAND," a well-known name in the music scene (VudZ, Opa Cupa, GirodiBanda, Salento Funk Orchestra, ARD project, Virtù indecenti) with a solid background (Manu Chao, Neffa, Negramaro, Sud Sound System, Richie Stephens). It's a dynamic project characterized by a sound capable of channeling the energy of a wide range of musical influences (Balkan, surf, swing, funk, popular, and jazz) that merge with original music and arrangements to get you dancing. In the second part of the evening, from 9:30 PM to midnight, there will be a concert by "ZERO TIME," a tribute to Renato Zero. Hosted by Viviana Ancora, with Idea Radio as the media partner. Free entry.
