DIGAREcords kicks off the 2025/26 season of Approdo Cantautori, reaffirming its position as a key hub for the emerging singer-songwriter scene, amidst awards and new developments.
Approdo Cantautori returns, the open mic event hosted by DIGA Records, the record label of Taranto-based producer Francesco Gaudio, which has been giving a voice to emerging artists for years and offering them the opportunity to perform on one of the most significant stages in Southern Italy.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, and officially inaugurates the new 2025/26 season, which promises to be full of new features.
Designed to support songwriter music and create connections between artists from all over Italy, Approdo Cantautori has established itself as a reference point for those wishing to share their music in an authentic, engaged, and highly valued human and artistic context.
For this sixth event, besides the traditional Open Mic that gives space to anyone wishing to share an original song with the audience, the stage will host two notable artists ready to inspire the attendees and participants.
Melga, winner of the Puglia Sounds grant with the EP "Figli," whose tour was enriched by opening for Thom Yorke's Smile at the Medimex in Taranto.
Blumosso: arriving in Taranto with his direct, intense, no-frills music. He has opened for Zucchero concerts and competed for the Lucio Dalla Prize.
The big new feature of this season is the establishment of the "Per Sempre Lucio" Award, a special recognition granted at the end of the showcase thanks to the support of SpazioPorto, aiming to enhance and give more significance to the Lucio Dalla Exhibition, hosted at the Ex Deposito from October to December.
The award will be given to an artist selected from among the participants of the first three editions of Approdo Cantautori, capable of standing out for originality, authenticity, and compositional quality.
The Open Mic formula, meticulously organized by DIGA Records, continues to be the key to the success of Approdo Cantautori: a meeting place where music becomes an opportunity for dialogue, growth, and sharing between artists and the public.
Those wishing to perform can pre-register by sending an email to info@digarecords.com, providing their name, song title, origin, and other useful details, or register directly at SpazioPorto from 7:30 PM to 8:10 PM.
Ten artists will be selected by lottery; an additional five artists from outside the city will be pre-selected by the artistic direction of DIGA Records.
