"I Fantasmi di Floyd" di Lorenzo Di Lauro, Domenica 9 novembre a Novoli

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 9:00 PM, at Ostello Novello (Novoli), the play “The Ghosts of Floyd” will take the stage, a dramatic work conceived, written, and performed by Lorenzo Di Lauro.

Free admission.
Info and contact: 3773799333.

The performance is an intense and visionary journey that comes to life in the heart of the night when a writer, awakened from a nightmare, decides to tell the story of Floyd, the guiding spirit of the band that made entire generations dream in the 1970s. Through anecdotes and musical interludes, the tale explores the chameleonic nature of this spirit, capable of traversing eras and social transformations, spreading profound and universal messages.

In a journey reminiscent of Dante's suggestions, the audience will encounter references to icons and works that have marked contemporary culture: Stanley Kubrick, Monty Python, Jimi Hendrix, Douglas Adams, Michelangelo Antonioni, George Orwell, Dr. Strange, and many others. The finale is dedicated to a reflection on humanity, inspired by the troubled life of Floyd, in a crescendo of emotions and meanings.

The event is organized by the Gregorio Vetrugno Aps Cultural Room of Novoli which, with the OSTELLO Smart & Art Artists in Residence project, was awarded “Winner of Common Places – an initiative promoted by the Youth Policies of the Puglia Region and ARTI financed with resources from the 2014-2020 Development and Cohesion Fund and the National Youth Policies Fund.”
