JAZZ AROUND THE WORLD
Born from an idea by Cristina Lacirignola and Andrea Gargiulo, Jazz Around the World is inspired by the concept of music as a medium for traveling, for crossing countries and places both far and near, for discovering different cultures, stories, and languages. This project, which resulted in an album in 2021, is the fruit of a long and meticulous search for music from all over the world, spread across time and space: an extraordinarily varied and heterogeneous starting material. Like a journey around the world in 80 minutes, this musical journey touches Europe, Latin America, and even reaches Africa. The pieces have been reworked and reinterpreted in new and unexpected ways through the arrangements of Andrea Gargiulo.
