San Martino - Ogni mosto diventa vino. IV edizione

The fourth edition of San Martino will take place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November. Every must becomes wine. The food and wine event organized by APS Onde Culturali will close the month of November among the alleys of the Historic Center of Putignano, featuring wine, gastronomy, musical entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Following the success of the third edition - the first in the new traveling format that attracted 10,000 people - the Putignano autumn event returns to embrace the historic center of the Carnival city with ten wineries from across the Region. The route will feature wines from all over Puglia, from Cantine Colavecchio, Schola Sarmenti, Varvaglione, Masseria Torricella, TerreCarsiche 1939, Tenuta Viglione, Antonio Pisante, Teanum, Miali, and Angiuli. These local excellences will be served with professionalism by the Sommeliers of AIS Puglia – Murgia. Alongside wine, the indispensable gastronomy stalls will offer a food selection designed to satisfy all tastes, including the unavoidable seasonal roasted chestnuts.

Attention for families, particularly the youngest, is renewed each year. Thanks to the support of Vuemme Consulting, the Kids Area in Piazza Teatro will feature two large inflatables, juggling shows, animation, and face painting for all children. At the Municipal Library on the same days and organized by APS Lavori dal Basso, the White Night for children will take place, and on the afternoon of Sunday 30 November, the BiblioCinema – San Martino edition will be held, aimed especially at families. For the first time, the Putignano autumn festival will also host a Camper Area at the Parking on via Martiri delle Foibe.

Again this year, San Martino becomes a place of reflection and encounter with an artistic and cultural proposal centered on the theme "Stories of Wine." Thanks to the curation of Giovanna Fiore and Giuseppe La Scala, the alleys of the ancient village will host three artistic installations telling the themes of wine, conviviality, and the stories behind it. Gianluca Di Liddo, Lorena Ortells, and the Santa Maria degli Angeli Conservatory Foundation each provide their interpretations of these stories with three installations ready to enhance the alleys of the Old Town.

The exhibition and the entire event will be inaugurated on Saturday 29 November at 6:30 PM in the "Francesco Mastrangelo" Room of the Museum “Romanazzi Carducci” in Putignano. The evening will continue in the alleys of the center with wine, music, and lots of fun.

Activities will start from the early afternoon with a visit and tasting at Cantine Colavecchio, organized by the Putignano InfoPoint, scheduled for 3:00 PM. This activity is part of the “Andar per masserie. Journey through history, crafts, scents, and tastes” cycle and includes a paid tasting package with bus service. You can book by contacting the Infopoint via email at infopoint@comune.putignano.ba.it, phone at 080/2367269, or by visiting the Infopoint at Piazza Plebiscito 18.

On Sunday 30 November, the activities will start from 11:30 AM. In the “Mastrangelo” Room, the presentation of the “San Martino Inclusive” project will take place, carried out by Onde Culturali APS, Fiorire Comunque ODV, and Casa Gabrieli on 18 October at Cantine Colavecchio. The conference will be an opportunity to describe the details of the initiative, with participation from the Commissioner for People with Disabilities of the Puglia Region, Engineer Stefano Lisi.

Starting at 12:00 PM, all route activities will resume: food and wine stands, musical entertainment, and the kids' area.

The lunch break will also be a great opportunity to discover the Churches of the historic center of Putignano and the Civic Museum, exceptionally open from 12:00 PM.

On the website www.lavoridalbasso.it, it is also possible to book the BiblioCinema – San Martino edition curated by APS Lavori dal Basso, which will take place from 4:30 PM at the Putignano Municipal Library.

Also at the Municipal Library in the "Antonia Barletta" room, there will be the Round Table "Puglia and Wine Tourism”. A moment to reflect on wine tourism in Italy's heel, with the sponsorship and participation of Pugliapromozione, the LUM University "Giuseppe De Gennaro," and AIS Puglia – Murgia.

A round table that will close the three cultural appointments of the manifestation centered on the stories which wine is the keeper of, narrated in art, everyday life, but also in the future prospects of a territory that still has much to give.

The fourth edition of San Martino – Every must becomes wine is organized by Onde Culturali APS with the sponsorship and support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forests, the Presidency of the Regional Council of Puglia, the City of Putignano, and AIS Puglia – Murgia.
