The highly anticipated Christmas concert by the Polifonica “J. S. Bach” of Conversano (BA) returns this year. The well-known event “In Excelsis Deo” has now reached its third edition. It is a concert of Christmas music for soloists, choir, children's choir, symphony orchestra, and keyboard instrument.

The events will begin on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Noicattaro (BA) where a concert for soloists, choir, and keyboard instrument will inaugurate the traditional “Presepe dell’Immacolata”, a nativity scene that is steeped in history.

The following Saturday, December 13, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM, a performance of some Christmas pieces for soloists, choir, children's choir, and keyboard instrument will enliven the main streets of the large historic center of Conversano with a traveling concert that, hopefully, will not be canceled in case of bad weather.

A first complete concert will be performed on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 8:00 PM at the parish church of Sant’Andrea Apostolo in Conversano (BA), where soloists, choir, children's choir, percussion, and keyboard instrument will celebrate Christmas in the context of the concluding festivities for the first centenary of the church's construction.

Following this will be Saturday, December 20, 2025, when at 8:00 PM, at the Main Church “SS. Salvatore” in Capurso, the first grand concert for soloists, choir, children's choir, symphony orchestra, and keyboard instruments will take place, also celebrating the third centenary of St. Joseph's patronage over the city of Capurso.

The last grand concert for soloists, choir, children's choir, symphony orchestra, and keyboard instrument will be held on Sunday, December 21, at 8:30 PM at the Main Church “San Giorgio Martire” in Locorotondo (BA), one of the most emblematic cities in Puglia for Christmas celebrations.

All events are organized by the Polifonica “J. S. Bach” of Conversano (BA) in collaboration with Avis, Avis In Corsa, the Parish “Sant’Andrea Apostolo” of Conversano (BA), the Parish “Santa Maria della Pace”, the Confraternity of the Immaculate in Noicattaro (BA), the Main Church “Santissimo Salvatore” in Capurso (BA), and the Main Church “San Giorgio Martire” in Locorotondo (BA). All events will be sponsored by the municipalities of Conversano, Capurso, and Locorotondo and the Diocese of Conversano-Monopoli.

The musical programs will include pieces by Arbeau, Davis, dé Liguori, Dvorak, Gruber, Beethoven, Pierpont, Verdi, and Wade. The direction will be by Maestro Francesco Dello Spirito Santo, from Conversano, who has been involved in musical activities in the Apulian and Piedmontese territories for some time. The solo voices of Luana Salonna, Rosanna Di Carolo, Giambattista Acquatico, Gianni Lepore, and Ivan Buonsante will be heard. The concertmaster will be maestro Sandra Donvito, while at the piano will be maestro Angela Muscatelli.

Admission to all concerts will be free and open to everyone, and all are encouraged to attend.
