Restored, renewed, and returned to the community, the Pinacoteca of Naples reopens to the public with an EXHIBITION that will bring new life to the exhibition halls of this important cultural container. The Municipality of Terlizzi, Department of Territorial Marketing and Productive Activities, with the support of the Puglia Region, has established the "TERRAFUOCO" Artistic and Artisanal Ceramics Competition. The organization of the 3rd edition of the award was entrusted to ARANCIO ALTRA COMUNICAZIONE, under the coordination of Raffaele Piccolomini, who appointed Pietro De Scisciolo, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, as the artistic director, and artist Paolo De Santoli as the event curator. TERRAFUOCO is an artistic and artisanal ceramic competition that celebrates the meeting between contemporary art and ceramic tradition. The initiative was born with the aim of enhancing workshops, craftsmanship, and knowledge that make Puglia and Terlizzi a reference point for national ceramic production, while promoting a creative dialogue with expressions of modern and contemporary art. The first edition was led by Eclettica Cultura dell'arte, and this third edition sees ten selected artists in residency as protagonists. The project fosters a blend of languages, materials, and visions, creating a lively exchange between ancient knowledge and new artistic research. TERRAFUOCO thus supports the transmission of artisanal knowledge to new generations and opens ceramic tradition to innovative and experimental interpretations.
