La Terra degli Altri

It's been almost a month since the #artists have been here: by now, they are part of the place. Over the past few weeks, they have worked long and consistently, exploring the area, moving through it and listening to it, until they became familiar presences, capable of knowing its corners, rhythms, and atmospheres.

We met them on December 8, when they told us about the direction of their research; now that the artistic residency has come to an end, they will guide us to discover the results and the works that this territory has inspired.

#studioconcreto presents THE LAND OF OTHERS, a group exhibition that reflects the journey of the Transiti artistic residency. Exercises in territorial semantics, featuring Francesco Fochi, Giulia Fortuna, Aurora Lacirignola, Luca Pagin, and Gabriella Vurchio.

Curated by Sara Maggioni and Giovanni Giacomo Paolin, the exhibition seeks to spark a shared reflection on place consciousness.

The title contains a veiled reference to A terra meje (My Land), a poem by #PietroGatti, where Ceglie Messapica emerges as a place of roots and struggles, of sun, wind, and ways of belonging to the land. To these words, dictated by lived time, contrasts a residency of a few weeks, where the initial form of the work arises from intuitions and atmospheres.

The meeting between a temporary and a rooted community has generated relationships that offer five sensitive interpretations of the territory, through practices of observation, presence, and play.
