Una Voce da Pub VII ed.- 1^ serata

The seventh edition of the music competition UNA VOCE DA PUB begins on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 9:00 PM at Joy’s Pub in Bari (Corso Sonnino 118/D), with the first evening of Live Selections.
After the auditions held in December, which saw the participation of over 40 artists, 16 singers were selected and will perform over the next four months, giving rise to a true musical showdown on the natural stage of Joy’s Pub, with events every Thursday evening.
Each evening features a different professional judging panel, made up of journalists, musicians, songwriters and producers, tasked with evaluating the artists’ skills and musical proposals and determining their progress in the contest. Alongside the professional panel there is also a popular jury, made up of the audience present, whose votes will determine whether each artist continues in the competition.
The first selection evening will feature live performances by:
Anna Franco, Asia Achille, Rosalba Masella, Simona Pitardi.
Guiding and supporting the participants’ musical journey will be the musical director (Maestro) Fabio Prota, a professional musician who will personally coach and support all the singers for the entire duration of the contest.
The hosting and entertainment for the evenings will be entrusted to the Bari actor William Volpicella.
The contest will conclude in May 2026 with an All Stars evening dedicated to all participating artists, followed by the final, which will determine the winners of the two prizes on offer:
• 1st Prize: recording of a single at a recognized production company in Puglia
• 2nd Prize: concert for the 2026 Live Music Inaugural Evening, including a dedicated performance fee
The initiative is made possible also thanks to the support of Sponsor Guinness IPA, which will accompany the contest by offering audience members prize vouchers by raffle each evening.

Joy’s Pub, the first Irish pub in Bari, has always been a place of artistic and cultural experimentation. Fully embracing the concept of the Public House, the venue serves as a meeting and sharing space where music and art become tools for gathering and creative promotion.

Fabio Prota is a musician with classical training at the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari and jazz studies at “Pentagramma” under Maestro Davide Santorsola. In over twenty years of activity he has worked across different genres, from reggae to metal, participating as a songwriter in the Sanremo Academy and earning recognitions that placed some of his works on compilations distributed by labels such as Sony and Universal Music.
He has worked as an arranger and composer of jingles for recording studios and local TV broadcasters, including Telenorba, collaborating with national artists and opening concerts for international acts such as Tuck & Patti. In recent years he has released three solo piano albums; the project My Heart Leaps Up was presented on International Jazz Day and broadcast on RAI Radio 3. In August 2023 he was selected with the project The Wonders to represent Italy at International Beatle Week, also performing at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.
