Comunità Siamo Noi

🤝 COMUNITÀ SIAMO NOI
An afternoon of volunteering, community engagement, and stories of change

🎯 THE EVENT
“COMUNITÀ SIAMO NOI” will take place on Sunday, April 19, starting at 5:00 PM, at Ketós – Euro-Mediterranean Center for the Sea and Cetaceans (Vicolo Vigilante, Taranto).
The initiative, with free admission, represents an opportunity to engage with the local community as part of the Erasmus+ Peek-A-Boo project and will bring young people from all over Europe to Taranto to share their volunteering experiences in the area, stories, and participatory activities.
Throughout the afternoon, participants will present short videos filmed in the area, accompanied by interactive activities and opportunities for discussion with the audience.
A dynamic event, created by young people, to promote volunteering as a concrete tool for participation and change.

🌍 THE PROJECT
The event is part of the “Peek-A-Boo” project, co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Program (Key Action 1 – Youth Mobility) and the Italian Youth Agency.
The project involves young people from Italy, Spain, Ireland, Poland, Lithuania, Greece, and North Macedonia in a non-formal education program aimed at developing active citizenship, critical thinking, and social skills.
Through workshops, hands-on activities, and collaboration with local organizations, participants had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in volunteering, connecting with the local community.
“Comunità Siamo Noi” represents the moment when these experiences are shared with the community, creating an open space for dialogue, inspiration, and participation.

🧩 LOCAL ENGAGEMENT
The initiative is organized by ARCAS Puglia APS with the support of the City of Taranto, CSV Taranto, Jonian Dolphin Conservation, and Europe Direct Taranto.
The event is also carried out in collaboration with various local organizations engaged in social work, including Noi & Voi, Auser Tamburi Taranto, ANFFAS Taranto, ABFO Taranto, Blu Butterfly, and Plasticaqquà Taranto, which have actively contributed by welcoming the young people and guiding them through their volunteer experiences.
This network of partnerships strengthens the connection between the European dimension and the local context, promoting a more inclusive, active, and aware community.

💬 WHY TO PARTICIPATE
“Comunità Siamo Noi” is an opportunity to hear real stories, meet young people from all over Europe, and discover how even small actions can have a tangible impact on the local community.
A chance to be inspired, exchange ideas, and imagine new forms of participation together.
