Potevo Avere Tutto con Daniele Ridolfi

The project of the S.E.C.A. Foundation in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Trani-Barletta-Bisceglie on the 8th Centenary of the Transition of Saint Francis opened on May 28 with the exhibition "Frames of Light: the Face of the Saint in the History of Art," continuing on Saturday, May 30, with a guided visit to the Church of Santa Maria di Colonna, the first stop in the series "Itineraries between Stone and Sky. In the Footsteps of Francis," achieving great success in terms of participation and interest, and confirming itself as an opportunity to discover one of the most fascinating and historically rich places in the area, deepening its artistic, cultural, and spiritual value, in the spirit of the Franciscan legacy.

The wide calendar of activities and events continues with "I COULD HAVE EVERYTHING" on Saturday, June 6: a theatrical performance written and performed by Daniele Ridolfi. As the author and actor explains: “Francis is not celebrated as a distant and already completed figure, but is reinterpreted through his renunciations, which become a radical act of freedom.”

“What guides us is an unexpected voice - ‘the Hunger’ - a symbolic and concrete presence at the same time, which dialogues with Francis and the audience, revealing a path made of transformations. We chose Hunger as the narrating voice because it is something we all know,” Ridolfi explains, “hunger for food, but above all, emotional lack and social recognition. Our Francis does not start from sainthood, but from the body and its restlessness.”

The performance is constructed as a journey in five symbolic tableaux that accompany the audience: from celebration to emptiness, from abundance to dispossession, from the desire to have to the need to be. Word, body, and silence intertwine in a recital of strong intensity, inviting a time of listening and reflection in the heart of the city. In an era dominated by excess, "I Could Have Everything" returns a terrestrial, fragile, and close Francis, capable of questioning our idea of freedom even today.

Performance begins at 8:30 PM. Doors open at 8:00 PM.
