La Notte di San Giovanni nel Solstizio d' Estate

**An Evening of Magical Rites and Wild Herbs**🌿 🪄

To rediscover the traditions of the Itria Valley and the rites associated with the night of San Giovanni, under the passionate and dedicated guidance of Pietro Chiatante, we will prepare nocino (a walnut liqueur), following Marilù's recipe, and learn how to obtain the hypericum oleolite. This will be an opportunity to gather freshly bloomed wild oregano. We will take a stroll through the wheat and chickpea fields of the agriturismo and immerse ourselves in the exploration of wild herbs and their traditional uses, from culinary applications to the creation of objects and utensils, and from therapeutic properties to magical ones. All of this during the longest day of the year and the shortest night, when tradition holds that witches gather.

A buffet dinner will follow at the farmhouse featuring products from the farm, including fresh cavatelli made from Senatore Cappelli durum wheat served with our own chickpeas and capocollo from Martina Franca, fresh cacioricotta cheese with zucchini and sesame seeds, and Senatore Cappelli bread dressed with a seasonal vegetable sauce (Valle d'Itria gazpacho), as well as fruit and homemade dessert.

Participation fee (includes guided walk and buffet dinner at the farmhouse):

€20.00 children aged 5 to 10 years.
