"In Masseria nel Salento. Festa d’Estate per la Ricerca", evento benefico a sostegno della Fondazione IEO-MONZINO ETS

On June 26, 2026, starting at 8:30 PM, an evening in support of the IEO-MONZINO ETS Foundation will take place, featuring solidarity, exceptional guests, music, and the enhancement of the territory. Now in its fifth edition, the event will be presented for the first time in a special summer format.

Tenuta Monacelli once again opens its doors to solidarity and scientific research. On Friday, June 26, 2026, the prestigious residence in Salento will host “In Masseria nel Salento. Summer Festival for Research,” the charity event promoted in support of the IEO-MONZINO ETS Foundation, which over the years has engaged hundreds of supporters, contributing concretely to the financing of important clinical and experimental research projects.

Now in its fifth edition and offered for the first time in a summer version, the event will take place in the picturesque garden among the olive trees of the estate, providing guests with an evening dedicated to solidarity, conviviality, and the enhancement of the territory.

The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Lecce and the Bar Association of Lecce, aims to raise awareness about the importance of medical-scientific research and support the daily work of doctors and researchers at the European Institute of Oncology and the Monzino Cardiology Center, two internationally recognized Italian excellence institutions.

The event will begin at 8:30 PM with the presentation of the fundraising project and institutional greetings. Professor Nicoletta Colombo, Director of the Gynecological Oncology Program at IEO, and Federico Palazzotto, Head of Communication and Events at the IEO-MONZINO ETS Foundation, will speak.

Following that, there will be a welcome aperitif, a buffet dinner, and a party under the stars, in an atmosphere designed to blend social commitment with the joy of sharing.

The evening's honored guest will be journalist, writer, and television host Myrta Merlino, one of the most authoritative voices in the Italian information landscape. An UNICEF ambassador and Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, she has been committed for years to raising awareness on social and public interest issues. Alongside her will be Marco Tardelli, world champion with the Italian National Team in 1982 and a symbol of Italian sports, exemplifying passion, determination, and commitment.

Accompanying the evening will be the energy of Mr. Fabris, a saxophonist and performer at significant national and international events. With a style that ranges from jazz to dance music, he will enhance the various moments of the event, creating an elegant and engaging atmosphere. Following this, there will be a DJ set by Gianfranco Esposito.
