🔎 Roberto Gagnor studied film directing at the Film & TV Workshops in Rockport (United States) and screenwriting at the Holden School and the Rai-Script training course for screenwriters in Rome. Since 2003, he has written over 200 Disney stories in Italian and English, including the cycle of Mickey Mouse's Art History. In addition to working as a screenwriter, comic book artist, and freelance storyboard artist, he also conducts comic workshops in elementary schools and teaches Creative Writing and Screenwriting at the Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute, Accademia09, the International School of Comics, and the Holden School. He is the co-creator of Food Wizards, an animated series on functional nutrition, in production with RAI and Zocotoco. He is the co-founder of Magical Realist, a co-production company between Italy and Germany.

📚 The author will present "Giorgio Furia and the sea on vacation," published by HarperCollins Black, with which he signs the first episode of a new series full of humor and twists, politically incorrect and irreverent, with a ruthless protagonist that is impossible not to have affection for. Giorgio Furia has a problem with his professional identity. Most of the time, he is an ignored writer, condemned to drag himself from one desolate province to another with bulging bags of unsold copies. But what most people ignore about him is that he is also a ruthless, cold, and infallible hitman. And his second career pays significantly better than the first. With a bald head marked by scratches and two blue eyes like those of a mangy Siberian tiger, Giorgio Furia is an atypical professional who accepts only "ethically qualified" murders. A killer with a moral code, in short.
Things get complicated when a new job brings him back to Sirisottola, the picturesque Ligurian village of his youth. There, between one disastrous presentation and another, the past resurfaces in the form of Giulia, his old flame, trapped in an unhappy marriage with Sandor, a vain and unbearable violinist. This time, however, Giorgio Furia doesn’t know his target's identity. The Publisher, usually meticulous in providing his Authors with every detail about their missions, has remained silent. Giorgio Furia, then, can only wait and start solitary investigations to understand why he was sent to that small seaside village. Unfortunately, he also has to contend with Mauro Potente, a bestselling author of millions of copies.
