Walking tour borgo dell'accoglienza, museo e aperitivo
Every Tuesday in summer, walking tour of the Museum of Memory and Hospitality and the village of Santa Maria al Bagno with a seaside aperitif.

The guided tour of Santa Maria al Bagno, known for the presence of an ancient Messapic port that later became Roman, includes a guided walk along the coast to the bay located in the main square, characterized by seaside villas and buildings constructed by the local bourgeoisie between the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The route focuses on the places and buildings that, between 1943 and 1947, were designated for the reception of foreign refugees fleeing war and Nazism, and in transit to other destinations. The Allies established a genuine reception camp by temporarily requisitioning houses used as dining halls, schools, residences, and the original site of the murals currently housed within the Museum.
At the end of the tour, there will be an aperitif on the museum terrace overlooking the sea.
