"Anima Corde" arrives: World Music meets strings in an evening of cultures, emotions, and musical fusion.

The calendar for the Estate Andriese 2026 R*estate in Andria continues, a program promoted by the Municipality of Andria that, until September, offers a rich schedule of events dedicated to music, entertainment, culture, and the enhancement of the territory. The next event is scheduled for Monday, July 27, at 9:00 PM, at the Cloister of San Francesco, where the audience can attend "Anime Corde," a musical project by guitarist and composer Andrea Castelfranato along with the AlterAzioni String Quintet, with free entry.

More than just a concert, "Anime Corde" is a musical journey capable of crossing geographical and cultural boundaries, bringing together different languages, traditions, and sensibilities. The project is born from the original compositions of Andrea Castelfranato, a musician who has been committed for years to finding a synthesis between sounds from various musical experiences. The AlterAzioni String Quintet complements this artistic path perfectly, where the acoustic guitar meets the warm, enveloping sound of strings. The title of the show itself encapsulates the essence of the entire project. The "cords" refer to those of the guitar, violins, viola, and cello, but they also represent the invisible thread that connects cultures, peoples, and musical traditions. The search for their "soul" thus becomes the starting point for a sound narrative in which music transcends all stylistic boundaries and constructs a universal language capable of speaking directly to the emotions of the audience.

On stage, alongside Andrea Castelfranato, the AlterAzioni String Quintet will perform, comprised of masters Clelia Sguera and Matteo Notarangelo on violins, Francesco Capuano on viola, Donatella Milella on cello, and Luciano Pannese on double bass, who co-authored many of the arrangements presented with Castelfranato. The repertoire will include original compositions and some unreleased pieces, such as Kalipé, alongside other works by Castelfranato reinterpreted in a completely new way thanks to the arrangements created by the author himself in collaboration with Luciano Pannese. The result is a continuous dialogue between different instruments and timbres, where the musical writing enriches itself with new nuances while retaining its identity.

At the heart of the project is a specific artistic idea: to make fusion the engine of creativity. Tradition and innovation, classical music and World Music, past and present coexist in a sound experience that invites listening and discovery, demonstrating how diversity can become a value and transform into a shared musical language. This philosophy has always characterized Castelfranato's artistic journey and finds full expression in collaboration with AlterAzioni. The musical and cultural association AlterAzioni, founded in 2019, has built up an intense artistic and educational activity over the years, supporting concert productions alongside educational projects, social initiatives, and collaborations with public entities, schools, museums, and cultural institutions. Among the most significant experiences are projects supported by the Unique Fund for Entertainment (FUS) and the national SIAE PerChiCrea call, as well as musical festivals and collaborations developed in numerous Italian cities.

Since its founding, AlterAzioni has promoted music as a meeting place for people, cultures, and generations, believing that art serves as an extraordinary tool for collective growth.
