Rispetto Tour – Le radici del futuro

On Sunday, July 26, at 9:30 PM, the Parco delle Tagghjate in San Giorgio Ionico will host “The Roots of the Future,” a poetic and musical journey through memory, identity, and territory. Free admission.

Following the opening by Paolo Jannacci in Oria, the Stupor Mundi Festival 2026 continues on Sunday, July 26, in San Giorgio Ionico, where Federico Quaranta will present the show “Respect Tour – The Roots of the Future.”

The event is scheduled to start at 9:30 PM in the enchanting Parco delle Tagghjate, with free entrance. The evening represents the second stage of the traveling event organized and produced by New Music Promotion, under the artistic direction of Vincenzo Gianfreda.

A well-known face of Italian television and radio, always engaged in narrating the landscape, communities, and excellence of the country, Federico Quaranta will bring to the stage a project that intertwines narration, poetry, and music, inviting the audience to reflect on the relationship between past and present.

“Respect Tour – The Roots of the Future” is a journey into the memory and identity of Italy. The show draws inspiration from popular poetry and rural culture to question the gradual fading of a world made of small towns, ancient trades, traditions, and deep connections to the land.

However, it is not a nostalgic tale. Through the cultural roots of the country, Quaranta seeks the necessary tools to understand the present and envision a more conscious, authentic, and respectful future for the environment, people, and communities.

The word “respect” is traced back to its Latin origin, re-spectare, meaning “to look back”—a necessary gesture to recover what risks being lost and to give it new life.

In his monologue, Federico Quaranta draws inspiration from great literary works, from Homer to Dante, from Collodi to Pier Paolo Pasolini. The classics thus become tools to analyze contemporary society, consumerism, the loss of shared values, and the disorientation of new generations.

Accompanying the narrative will be the music and sound creations of Samuele Giacomozzi and the voice and percussion of Fabia Salvucci, who will help create an intense dialogue between words, sounds, and emotions. The direction is by Francesco Lucibello and Sante Paolacci, while the production of the show is by ART Show.
