The closing of the XXIX edition of the 'Barocco Festival Leonardo Leo' will take place on October 4th in the Cloister of the Dominicans of San Vito with 'Posilecheata'. The ensemble 'Ai Vis Lo Lop', directed by Alessandro De Carolis, will present an engaging repertoire of dances, songs, and Neapolitan villanellas. This final concert will celebrate the cultural diversity of popular and academic music, leaving the audience with an unforgettable experience and an echo of joyful carefree spirit.

Returning between August and October is the “Barocco Festival Leonardo Leo,” now in its XXIX edition. The itinerant event dedicated to ancient music in the sign of Leonardo Leo, is organized by the City of San Vito dei Normanni in collaboration with the Municipality of Brindisi, the Ministry of Culture, and the Puglia Region. At the center is the musician, one of the leading figures of the Neapolitan school of the 18th century, born in San Vito dei Normanni, for an edition that renews itself with the most accomplished interpreters of the baroque repertoire. The Festival is supported by the Prefecture of Brindisi and is realized with the contribution of the Municipality of Mesagne.

The 2026 program will traverse castles, cloisters, churches, palaces, caves, port sites, and community spaces among San Vito dei Normanni, Brindisi, Mesagne, and Lecce. The Neapolitan baroque remains the focal point of the project, but the Festival broadens its gaze towards popular tradition, jazz, theater, medieval and Renaissance music, European organ schools, and the Italian sacred repertoire.
