InCanti DiVersi Concerto dell'alba 2026 a Polignano a Mare

InCanti diVERSi – Dawn Concert – Polignano a Mare
August 29, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. – (Seaside Terrace of the Pino Pascali Museum)
9th edition

This year too, the infinite becomes an experience. The infinite that lies within life, in a horizontal ritual through which we return to being human: where music is the cradle of intertwined lives and dawn gives us a kiss of pure beauty.

A concert that seeks to remain true to itself, capable of celebrating music as a pure expression of humanity, together with all the good and beautiful things we can offer, even within our limitations and mistakes.

There is a moment, on the last Saturday of August, when we are called upon to perform an ancient and revolutionary act: to cross the night without fighting against it, allowing ourselves instead to be accompanied by the stars that fill the darkness with quiet hope.

The stars, never alone, teach us that in the darkness, being alone is not poetry; there is no immensity, no wonder, no “the eternal comes to mind.”

When the light rises from the sea, it does not burst forth in a single ray, but passes through every color, reminding us of the marvelous complexity of existence.

An event that is not merely a show, but an invitation to return to being human: an opportunity to rediscover who we truly are, with our true and deepest name, leaving behind that feeling of disorientation that sometimes confuses us. Returning to being human means remembering the value and uniqueness of every single human being, learning to respect one another and care for one another, humbly discovering that we are part of one great journey and that we share the same substance and the same profound origin as the nature surrounding us.

No spectators, only protagonists: music as a horizontal gift

You will not find here individual artistic biographies; anyone who wishes to can easily find them online. For us, and for the artists themselves, who fully share this spirit, people come first. They themselves are present, aware of the power of the gift they possess and able to offer it for everyone’s joy: the sacrifice of being there does not matter, as long as it brings a smile to eyes that are sometimes dimmed.

This is a horizontal concert: there is no separation, no one above and no one below, no division between those who are protagonists on stage and those who are merely passive listeners. We are not looking for an audience, nor do we want spectators to attract. We want protagonists—men and women who share with us a profound sense of universality.

In this ritual, those who possess a special gift do not display it for applause, but offer it freely in exchange for the embrace of other lives. So that everyone may feel on their own skin the caress of those who sing high and of those who send a note toward the sky, allowing that sound to envelop, protect, and safeguard the sight and life of us all.

Music passes through our senses to reach the innermost part of the soul, uniting us in a single destiny—not merely human, but cosmic: a destiny of beauty, fullness, and a saving kiss. Music will be the cradle in which our lives intertwine, thanks to the generosity of:

    • Razem Badrya (Vocals)
    • Claudio Allifranchini (Saxophone)
    • Giuseppe Bassi (Double Bass)
    • Mimmo Campanale (Drums)
    • Nando Di Modugno (Guitar)
    • Francesco Lamanna (Violin)
    • Bruno Montrone (Piano)

Kneading the night like rising bread and rediscovering happiness

Returning to being human means returning to singing of life, turning it into melody. It is the courageous act of kneading love, forgiveness, compassion, kindness, welcome, and happiness into the night.

Yes, happiness too: that profound happiness which tells us that, whatever may happen along the way, we can and must be happy. Because happiness has the same root as fertility—the sound “fé,” which, at the foundation of the languages of our Mediterranean, recalls the primordial act of breastfeeding; and a mother, in order to breastfeed, can do nothing but first embrace life in her arms, without claiming to know what that life will become.

And being fertile does not require us to be biological fathers or mothers, but to feel the parenthood inherent in every encounter and every life, in every plant and every stone. We are made of the same substance in which our Sun also shines.

In our ritual of Dawn, there is one phrase that is banned, unwelcome, and foreign: “I don’t care,” “What does it matter to me?” “What do I get out of it?” Against selfishness, we set our “I care”: a heart that becomes a place for true affection, free of hypocrisy and pretense. A safe place where, if someone looks at us, they truly see us; if they listen to us, they truly hear us; and if we make a mistake, they do not make us pay for it, but forgive us sincerely, encouraging us with a caress to change our lives and bring dawn to our tomorrow. So that we may feel on our skin a gaze that makes us feel alive, a listening ear that makes us unique in the world, and a freely given kiss that restores meaning to our journey.

Nature: a sister in love with humanity

We will be immersed in the majestic and fragile beauty of our coastline, on a rock that will seem suspended along the horizon, facing a natural world that suffers more and more because of our inability to see it as our sister and brother. Despite the violence and daily distractions with which we continue to reduce it to a mere material interest, nature continues to believe in humanity. In love with us, it continues to give itself with tireless devotion, presenting us with the sunrise as a promise renewed.

Testimonies of care and closeness

The story of the Dawn will be enriched by the voices and experiences of people who devote their lives to serving the community and sharing joy:

    • The contributions and reflections of two extraordinary doctors, Angelo Ramunni and Vito Primavera, who are capable of seeing the person beyond clinical treatment, offering authentic attention and a humanity that never leaves anyone alone—ready to risk their own joy in order to support our greatest fear in illness: the fear of no longer being here, of being forgotten.

    • The artistic contribution of Giuseppe Teofilo, director of the Pino Pascali Foundation Museum, who will guide us in recognizing art’s ability to transform life’s cracks into explosions of light and hope.

For us, with our thoughts and affection always turned toward Davide, a presence that continues to blow among the waves and remind us that whatever is given out of love remains eternal. But for everyone, our wish is that each person carry with them the Davide of their own life, name him, hold him close, and make him a seed that, even if it has fallen in a desert, will still bloom—watered, perhaps imperceptibly, by a drop of rain or a tear.

The miracle of those beside us

When the sun is high and the night has completely passed, we will discover that the greatest beauty lies not only in the wonder of the changing sky, but in the people sitting beside us.

We will discover wonder in the beauty of a wrinkle, in the furrow left by defeat, in the delicacy of a dream that may be setting—but above all, in the eyes, heart, and soul of those close to us, ready to welcome life and encourage the lives of others, sometimes even those who would like to give up, with a simple, unforgettable smile.
