There are places that seem born to preserve stories.
Masseria Mangiato is one of them.
A stone courtyard illuminated by the light of sunset, ancient trulli that tell the story of the Itria Valley, the scent of the countryside, the silence of the woods awaiting the arrival of night.
Here, time slows down.
And theatre becomes an experience.
The evening will begin in the evocative courtyard of the masseria, where you will be welcomed for a convivial gathering filled with authentic flavours and a rural atmosphere.
🥂 An aperitif dinner will be waiting for you, with a dinner box prepared by the historic Caseificio Crovace, featuring local specialties to enjoy in the shade of the trulli, accompanied by a glass of wine or a refreshing drink.
When the sun gives way to twilight, the story of the place will begin—an invitation to listen to the history of the masseria and the landscape surrounding it.
Then…
the woodland path will open.
We will leave the courtyard and venture among trees, rocks and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub.
No artificial lighting.
Only the light of the moon and stars.
Only the sound of footsteps.
Only the woods.
And it is right there that the magic will come to life.
Among the branches will appear Oberon, Titania, the mischievous Puck, fairies, elves and the eccentric craftsmen from William Shakespeare’s *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*.
The woods will become a vast natural stage.
The audience will walk alongside the actors, moving through scenes that emerge among the trees, dry-stone walls and clearings, experiencing theatre with all their senses.
✨ An evening combining the flavours of local products, the beauty of a historic masseria and the magic of theatre in nature.
An experience to be savoured slowly, from the last ray of sunlight to the stars.
✨ First, the pleasure of the table; then, the charm of the masseria; finally, the woods. When night envelops Masseria Mangiato, the boundary between reality and fantasy disappears, and Shakespeare comes to life beneath the stars. One evening, a thousand emotions to take home.
