NIGHT AND DAY

NIGHT AND DAY
with the Jazz Studio Orchestra

conducted by Paolo Lepore
Luciana Negroponte, vocals • Emanuele Urso, clarinet

A refined tribute to Cole Porter, one of the greatest composers of the Great American Songbook and the author of timeless masterpieces such as *Night and Day*, *I’ve Got You Under My Skin*, and *Begin the Beguine*. His melodies, made famous by performances from Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and many others, have become true standards in the history of jazz.

The evening’s featured ensemble will be the Jazz Studio Orchestra, a historic big band conducted by Maestro Paolo Lepore and a leading presence on the Apulian jazz scene for more than fifty years. Comprising some of the finest musicians in the region, the orchestra presents a repertoire ranging from the jazz of the great American orchestras to singer-songwriter music and contemporary music, collaborating with renowned Italian and international artists.

Joining vocalist Luciana Negroponte, special guest clarinetist Emanuele Urso is regarded as one of Europe’s foremost interpreters of traditional swing and is a deeply knowledgeable performer of Benny Goodman’s repertoire. His career has taken him to the stages of the most important international jazz festivals.

An elegant and engaging evening celebrating the golden age of jazz, featuring great classics, original arrangements, and the timeless allure of big bands.
