Maschere contemporanee

🎭 *Contemporary Masks* 🎭
where the spectator becomes an active part of the artistic process

An experience halfway between a workshop and a performance, designed to bring audiences closer to the mechanisms of theatrical creation.

🔴THREE MEETINGS WITH THE MASKS OF COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE

• October 9 – The Mask and the Archetype
What is a mask? Where does it come from? How does an actor’s body change when wearing a mask? A first meeting dedicated to the characters and mechanisms of Commedia dell’Arte.

• October 23 – From Tradition to the Contemporary World
Zanni, Old Men and Captains leave tradition behind and encounter the contemporary world. How can an archetype tell the story of a person, a conflict or a social reality of our time?

• October 30 – Inside “Chico Mendes”
The final meeting leads directly to the staging of the performance. The audience will discover how Onirica used the masks of Commedia dell’Arte to create the characters and situations in the show.

💡The meetings will therefore also serve as a behind-the-scenes look at the performance
"CHICO MENDES: A Life for the Amazon Rainforest,"
which will be performed on SUNDAY, November 1📍

🔥A process of transformation in which the archetype of Commedia dell’Arte becomes a tool for telling stories about power, exploitation, inequality, social conflict, the environment and human rights.🔥
