Jazzset 2026 - Alan Bartus Trio

A special preview introduces the new 2026 Jazzset autumn–winter season, entrusted to one of the most exciting young pianists on the international jazz scene.

Born in 2001, Alan Bartuš is a Slovak pianist currently active in New York. Despite his young age, he has already received major recognition: winner of the Ö1 Jazz Prize and the ARTEDEA Jazz Competition, in 2023 he was selected as one of the eleven semifinalists in the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition. In 2024, he also received the Dave Brubeck Composer & Pianist Scholarship, further recognition of an artistic career that continues to flourish.

Joining him on stage will be Francesco Angiuli and Antonio Cerfeda, two musicians from Puglia whose careers have been shaped by experience beyond Italy’s borders. Angiuli lived and worked in the Netherlands for many years, where he studied at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, developing extensive experience on the European jazz scene. Cerfeda, originally from Diso, pursued his career in the United States, becoming part of New York’s jazz community and earning recognition in some of the city’s most important venues and musical settings.

The concert thus stems from the meeting of different experiences, sensibilities, and artistic paths, with dialogue, attentive listening, and improvisation at the heart of the music.

The event serves as a preview of the 2026 Jazzset autumn–winter season, which will begin on Saturday, November 7, and continue through December 27, with a new series of concerts dedicated to Italian and international jazz.
