Visita con degustazione presso il vigneto di Genna

On the occasion of the 2026 FAI Autumn Days, the FAI Trulli e Grotte Delegation is offering FAI members a visit and wine tasting at Aiello Winery.

The tasting will take place in the Contrada Genna area, following a visit to the district’s church and *neviera*, within the historic vineyard.

The Church of San Nicola di Genna is a rural building dating from the 16th century, probably erected on the site of an older place of worship. Its simple gabled façade, small bell tower, and mosaic form part of a landscape still characterized by the countryside, ancient connecting roads, and the *neviera*. Built in 1788 and restored in 2016, the *neviera* bears witness to an ancient system for preserving snow intended for the production of ice.

Next to the *neviera*, a bush-trained vineyard has been planted using historic vines, providing further evidence of the deeply rooted agricultural culture of the area. Here, the visit also becomes an opportunity to rediscover the connection between land, water, cultivation, and rural culture.

In the vineyard, FAI members will be offered an exclusive tasting of wines from Cantine Aiello—a convivial opportunity to discover and savor the products of this land in the very landscape where their story began. It is a way to conclude the tour by bringing together heritage, agriculture, and wine culture.

Special visits, by reservation and reserved for FAI members, will take place in the Genna vineyard, with a wine tasting organized by *Enologo per amore Srl*, an agricultural company—Cantine Aiello.
