Saturday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m., at the Church of San Luigi in Bisceglie, concluding event of the 3rd edition of the FESTIVAL “MUSICAL APERITIFS ALONG THE THREAD OF MEMORY” — SEPTEMBER–OCTOBER 2026.

The chamber music festival “Musical Aperitifs ‘Along the Thread of Memory,’” a series of matinée performances held at Palazzo Tupputi and included in the calendar of summer events “ESTATE IN BLU 2026,” organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Bisceglie in partnership with the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory of Music of Bari, under the artistic direction of Clelia Sguera and Vito Liturri, has reached its concluding event.

For this edition, the theme of Memory was dedicated to Saint Francis on the 800th anniversary of his death, with two dedicated events: the first was held on October 2 at the Monastery of the Poor Clares, and this second event will bring the festival to a close.

The festival has combined musical culture with social commitment through a partnership with the nonprofit organization GoGoAfrica, in agreement with the Monastery of the Poor Clares.

Admission to the October 17 concert at the Church of San Luigi will be free. Audience members are invited to make a donation, which will be donated in its entirety to the nonprofit organization GoGoAfrica.

A special evening in a particularly enchanting atmosphere, held in the name of Saint Francis of Assisi—a celebration of an outstanding spiritual figure who taught us the importance of giving, universal brotherhood, and solidarity with the most vulnerable. These are values that we fully share in the mission of our association.

The concert actively supports the 2026 Day of Giving, #DonoDay2026, organized nationwide by the Italian Institute of Donation (IID), based in Milan.

The program will feature a musical account of the life of Saint Francis, inspired by the film of the same name by Ugo Falena and Mario Corsi.

The performers will be the AlterAzioni Ensemble, presenting a choral concert in the name of Francis.
