Winner of the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition - 2023*

Arsenii Moon, triumphator of the 64th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition 2023. The twenty-four-year-old pianist also won the prestigious Benedetti Michelangeli Prize, awarded only in the case of a unanimous jury verdict, a rather rare occurrence since this accolade had not been granted for almost 30 years. Additionally, he was voted online by a vast majority of spectators from around the world, winning the Audience Prize.
Born in St. Petersburg in 1999, Arsenii began studying piano at the age of six. From 2010 to 2017, he studied at the Special Secondary School of Music of the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg and then at the Conservatory itself. He is currently enrolled at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. In 2009, he debuted with a symphony orchestra at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and in 2014 held his first recital at the Mozarthaus in Vienna. Winner of awards at numerous international competitions, Arsenii has performed under the guidance of notable conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Stanislav Kochanovsky, Mark Russell Smith, Mei-Ann Chen, and Ian Hobson.
The young talent, originally from South Korea, has amazed the world of classical music with his brilliant and original interpretations of Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. His concert will be an unmissable opportunity to hear live one of the greatest young artists of our time.
