Musiche da Film - Omaggio a Ennio Morricone

The protagonists of the evening will be the unforgettable soundtracks of our lives, in an original tribute to Maestro Ennio Morricone with the voice of Gaia Gentile, the Magna Grecia Orchestra conducted by Maestro Josè Rodilla, and the bandoneon played by Giancarlo Palena. With a degree in composition from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Ennio Morricone began working for cinema in the early sixties, composing over five hundred soundtracks, many of which have become part of the history of the big screen. Director Sergio Leone wanted him by his side from "A Fistful of Dollars" to his last film, "Once Upon a Time in America". In 2007, after more than forty-three years since his first successful soundtrack and after five Academy Award nominations, Ennio Morricone won an honorary Oscar "for his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music". During the concert, the most iconic music of his entire production will be performed, highlighting the uniqueness of their themes in reference to the films and directors with whom the great Maestro worked during his long career.
