On the morning of **Friday, November 1st**, come discover the **Laterza & Ginosa ravines** on a journey through nature and history that will reveal the most characteristic aspects of these fascinating karst landscapes.
We will begin by exploring the wild nature of the **Laterza Ravine**, a gigantic canyon rich with lush vegetation and a **treasure trove of biodiversity**, with its imposing vertical walls that trace this ancient prehistoric river. Along the route, geological, zoological, and botanical aspects will be explained, with stops at the most scenic viewpoints to admire the different habitats of the ravine that tell us about these fairy-tale landscapes.
In the second part of the morning, we will move to the nearby **Ginosa Ravine**, which is more characterized by anthropic aspects, with its **cave-houses** carved into the limestone rock. Here, the activity will be hybrid: in the initial part it will have the characteristics of a guided tour, then, in the second part, it will become a nature excursion. We will explore the wonders of this ancient village, with its paved streets and characteristic terraces, the Belvedere that offers a breathtaking view of the ravine, and the Rione Casale, a charming district with traditional architectures that reflect the history and culture of the place, and the suggestive **Rivolta Rupestrian Village**, with its dwellings carved into the rock that will transport us to a distant past and the Rupestrian Church of Santa Sofia, an authentic gem embedded in the rock.
Don't miss the opportunity to experience this extraordinary day that combines history, nature, and taste in one day!
