Here's the translation of the Italian text to English:
"Have we remained as pure as the milk of the pampanelle, or has progress changed us?" This is the question that both Aldo Salamino, with his Italian dialect cabaret (more dialect than Italian), and Angelo Boccuni (with his elevated stage) will attempt to answer. The comedy-musical show (more comedy than musical), which has achieved two consecutive sold-outs, will be reprised at the Padre Turoldo theater on Sunday, November 17th, at 7 PM. Salamino will show how we were in our essence as people from Taranto and how we have become. We will discover the differences between our old habits, the family and human context in which we grew up, and also how first names have changed over time (from Catavete to Samuel). We will find ourselves wandering through our Taranto among the neighborhood characters and those colorful figures we used to encounter in our youth (from Marche Polle to Giuanne Portafoglie). We will discover how we transitioned from the “Sip duplex” phone to the smartphone, passing through Whatsapp and social networks, and how all this has been experienced by us Tarantinians. We’ll gain a deeper understanding of how we relate to each other, how we insult each other, and the meaning of certain sayings and terms we use in our dialect. It's a semi-serious, actually comic, musical journey in which the audience recognizes themselves and participates enthusiastically, becoming an integral part of the show. The artistic duo Salamino-Boccuni, one a cabaret artist, the other a musician with comedic sidekick roles, though newly formed, appears to the audience as very seasoned and irresistible in terms of comedy. Angelo Boccuni will highlight the various moments of Salamino’s cabaret with appropriate melodies and musical interludes in the style of Bracardi, occasionally dedicating himself to singing. "Pampanelle, pampanelle fresche" is a genre that stands apart from the current theater offerings and has attracted a very large audience, garnering wide acclaim.
