Claudio Gregori (greg), Fabio Troiano - Gli Insospettabili

"The Unexpected Guests" is a play by Shaffer (the English author of "Amadeus"), which later inspired two significant films. It centers around the game and challenge between two men who share an apparent love for the same woman. I used the adjective "apparent" to emphasize the terribly current aspect of this play: the duel, or rather, the war between two narcissists. The desire to prevail and to win against the opponent is, in fact, much stronger than the love for the woman in question. This, in my humble opinion, is the most modern aspect of Shaffer's text, which we aim to highlight in our production. Without betraying the irony and charm that the author instills in the characters and the story’s colors right from the opening lines. We will try to illuminate the most interesting aspect of this wonderful text: the modern man's disease that, in the name of self-exclusivity worship, is even depriving himself of the noblest and greatest feeling that can exist: love. It is a mystery full of twists and comedy; it is no coincidence that the role of the writer will be played by Greg alongside Fabio Troiano, and both, through irony and English humor, will lead the audience into an extremely captivating theatrical game.
