Natale a Toritto e Quasano

Christmas in Toritto and Quasano will be more vibrant than ever with a program full of events for the whole family. The Christmas festivities kick off on Saturday, November 30th (from 6:30 PM) with the inauguration of Santa's House (organized by Nicola Coscia Srl) and the lighting of the tree in Piazza A. Moro, created by Chiarappa Impianti. The evening will be made even more special by the musical tribute to Michael Bublé, organized by the municipal administration, Proloco Toritto, and DelCarro Caffè.

Santa Claus will be waiting for all children for a festive moment and a photo in Piazza A. Moro every Saturday and Sunday from December 7th from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and from 7:30 PM to 10 PM.

Music will be a major feature of the celebrations, with unmissable events such as the Christmas music and song concert by the Toritto Band (December 14th), the musical concert of the IC Bosco Manzoni (December 19th), the Christmas Concert - organ and voice by the Confraternity of Carmine (December 22nd and 27th) at the Church of Carmine. The traditional New Year's Concert on January 1st with the "Frank Tritto Swingtet" is organized by the municipal administration, Musi.call.mente, and Fidas Toritto section, Benedetto Arredamenti, and Zona Viva Famiglia Segreto/Toscano. Music will also be featured on January 3rd with a concert by maestro Vito Saulle at the Casa della Carità San Vincenzo de’ Paoli.

Christmas will be a magical explosion with the creative workshops "Waiting for Christmas with Santa Claus" on December 6th and January 5th in Toritto (organized by Il Tocco di Minerva) and "Waiting for the Befana" on January 5th in Quasano (organized by Quasaniamo APS); and then Christmas cookie decorating workshops (December 14th/15th) organized by the "Tommaso Fiore" Hotel Institute and "Santa Claus Arrives" (Pasticceria Mattiace) welcoming children and youths on December 14th.

There will be space for science and entertainment on December 20th with "The Comet and December 25th," a journey through history, astronomy, and faith with Dr. Davide Sarrocco from the Matera Space Geodesy Center.

Traditional Christmas aspects will be honored with the enchanting parish markets (December 7th-8th) and with the "Enchanted Grotto," the renowned mechanical nativity scene curated by the D’Elia Family and visitable in Contrada Macchia Tarallo.

In Quasano, the magic will be completed on December 6th with the lighting of the tree (organized by the municipal administration, Chiarappa Impianti, and the Quasaniano APS association) and on December 28th with "Christmas in Quasano" (administration and Quasianiamo Aps).

The program also includes moments dedicated to solidarity, such as the Missionary Panzerottata organized by the San Nicola Parish (December 5th), Azione Cattolica for Telethon (December 21st), and the Nico Maretti show organized by the municipal administration, ProLoco, and Parish, scheduled for December 11th at the Parish Center.

We cannot conclude without mentioning those who make Christmas in Toritto so special: the traditional Bakers' Night with bonfires organized by the Pro Loco on December 23rd, followed by the spectacular pyrotechnic show in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, curated by Cutrone srl.
