"Essenze, Ruota dell’Anno. Granelli di poesia e rapidi segni" di Adriana Ostuni

We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the book "Essences, Wheel of the Year. Grains of poetry and rapid signs" by Adriana Ostuni, which will take place on January 4, 2025, at the Chiesa dello Spirito Santo di Ostuni. This event, organized in collaboration with ESPRESSIONI D’ARTE, represents a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the evocative and profound world of the author.

Adriana Ostuni, with her new graphic-literary compendium, leads us on a symbolic journey through words and images, inviting us to explore the intersections of prose, poetry, and iconic language. "Essences" is a fascinating anthology, published by Wip Edizioni, and is part of the Spazio-Tempo series. This work stands out for its unprecedented synergy between different ways of expressing the human experience, focusing on the cyclical theme of time.

The structure of "Essences" is divided into two distinctive sections. The first, dedicated to prose, sensitively addresses the theme of the Wheel of the Year and the pre-Christian Sacred Festivals, offering a deep reflection on the traditions that have marked our past. The second section features a sequence of short poems, composed of tercets in free verse, accompanied by pencil drawings, also created by the author. These poems narrate the peculiarities of each month of the year, revealing the alternation of seasonal cycles and their connection with human emotions.

The common thread that runs through the two sections is time, conceived not merely as a simple measurement, but as a lived dimension, imbued with transformative meanings. The experiences of life, death, and rebirth intertwine in a symbiotic circularity that resonates with the spiritual expressions of each individual, bringing to light a profound dialogue between man and nature.

The event will be introduced by Ruggero Cairo, who will guide the audience through the themes covered in the book, stimulating a collective reflection. Selected readings will be curated by Antonella Colucci, who will give voice to Adriana Ostuni’s poetry, while Raffaele Jr Argentieri will provide musical interludes, further enriching the atmosphere of this gathering.
