UNA VOCE DA PUB VI ed. 1^Serata di selezione

The contest **UNA VOCE DA PUB VI ed.** kicks off on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 9:00 PM at **Joy’s Pub in Bari** (c.so Sonnino, 118/D) with its first evening of Live Selections. Following auditions that were held last December with over 40 artists participating, 20 artists have been selected to perform over the next four months in a series of evenings on the natural stage of Joy's Pub every Thursday night.

Each evening will feature a different technical jury, comprised of journalists, musicians, authors, producers, etc., who will evaluate their skills and proposals, determining their future in the contest for only some of them. The popular jury, made up of the audience present at the Pub, will give one of them per evening the opportunity to continue in the contest journey with their vote.

The first evening of selections will see live performances by 4 artists: **_SARAH BONGERMINO, SIMONA INVERARDI, MARTA LETTIERI, CLAUDIA CASALE_**.

Who will lead and accompany the musical journey of the artists participating in the contest? The Maestro and conductor will be **Fabio Prota**, a professional musician, who will personally follow all the singers for the duration of the contest. To entertain and host all the evenings, there will be a great and delightful actor from Bari, **William Volpicella**.

The contest will conclude on May 5 with an ALL STARS evening dedicated to all the participants, along with the final that will award two prizes to the winners:
1st PRIZE: the recording of a single at a recognized production house in the Apulian territory;
2nd PRIZE: a concert for the Inaugural Live Music 2026 Evening with a well-deserved fee.

Joy’s Pub is not just the first Irish pub in Bari but has always been an expressive laboratory, a place of experimentation. The concept of **_PUBlic House_** is experienced, by friends who frequent the historic venue, as a meeting point and proposition of the most diverse artistic and creative ideas. For this reason, the idea of self-promoting within the same space was born, to share moments of music and art with all the friends who still do not know Joy’s Pub.

**Fabio Prota** is a musician whose training roots initially in the classical world at the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari and later in jazz at "Pentagramma" in Bari under the guidance of M° Davide Santorsola. In over twenty years of activity, both in the studio and live, he has explored a wide range of genres, from reggae to metal; he participated as an author at the Accademia di Sanremo and won contests, allowing some of his works to be included in compilations distributed by labels such as Sony and Universal Music, notably “Hit Mania Champions”.

Fabio Prota has also worked as an arranger and composer of jingles for recording studios and local television stations such as Telenorba. In addition to boasting numerous collaborations with national artists, like Agostino Marangolo, and opening acts for international artists such as Tuck & Patti, in recent years he has released three solo piano albums. Among his authored works, “My Heart Leaps Up”, created with the ProTrio, was presented at the International Jazz Day and broadcast on RAI Radio 3 by Pino Saulo in his “Battiti”. In August 2023, he was selected with the project The Wonders to represent Italy at the International Beatle Week, performing live in some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.
