On Saturday, January 11, at 6:30 p.m., at L’Eccezione – Culture and Entertainment of Puglia Teatro, in Bari, Via Indipendenza 75, for the 50th artistic season of Puglia Teatro and the 23rd of L’Eccezione, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and with the artistic direction of Rino Bizzarro, Franco Enriquez Award, this is the second event of the new series of encounter-performances "Civilization in Motion – Problems in Change," curated by Vittoriano Caporale. This time the topic will focus on "Artificial Intelligence – In School and Society" with contributions from Ninus J. Piter and Brunetti Immacolata.

With the debate on Artificial Intelligence - In School and Society, the aim is to clarify the ongoing changes in Italy and worldwide, which have cultural, scientific, ethical, social, economic, and pedagogical implications.

We have significant studies, in addition to those by Ninus J. Piter and the recent contributions of two Nobel laureates: Hopfield and Hinton, on the nature and use of Artificial Intelligence. The transition over time seems distant, from oral media and the theater of classical times, the development of painting and music, to the advent of writing and the Gutenberg revolution. From the 1800s to the 1900s, photography and cinema emerged, alongside industrialization, characterized by radio, cinema, and television. In the last decades of the 20th century, we saw the spread of computers, video games, smartphones, tablets, and mobile phones. With the post-digital era, the use of Artificial Intelligence is increasingly spreading, with the “apocalyptic” and the “integrated” taking sides. On one hand, there is a feared crisis of the centrality of the human being; on the other hand, there is a belief in improvement.
