A new festival is born, featuring screenings of videos of the best performances from Teatro Abeliano

ABELTECHE
The Abeliano Group is happily approaching 55 years of activity, having hosted hundreds of national and regional theater companies at its city venues. From the historic location in Piazza Garibaldi to the current New Teatro Abeliano on Via Kolbe, with long interludes at the venue on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII and the theater in Largo Due Giugno (for a full 33 years!), countless performances have been staged. Unfortunately, from the earliest performances, specifically those produced between 1970 and the late '80s, we only have paper documents like posters, flyers, photographs, and reviews in national and local newspapers.
From the '90s onwards, however, the documentation is much richer, also including digitized video material thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Culture. These performances hold great significance, not only for their artistic value but also for their emotional meaning: many of the protagonists, some of whom were true darlings of our city's audience, have now passed away or are elderly.
For this reason, the "AbelTeche" project is created with the aim of establishing a bi-weekly event to allow the public and students of theater workshops to rewatch these performances.

**The screenings will always be held in the ActorStudio room of Teatro Abeliano at 9 PM.
