On the path indicated by Calvino with his Invisible Cities, the show is an exploration of the dimensions of memory and desire, of travel and reflection.

The monologue takes inspiration from the dialogues between Marco Polo and Kublai Khan, developing into a narrative that, moving beyond the described cities, delves into the relationship between the traveler and his Emperor.

Marco Polo, to his melancholic Emperor, who has now realized that his vast power counts for very little, tells of impossible cities that expand, spider-web cities suspended over the abyss, cities as utopias that, although we cannot see, we cannot help but seek. Trying to answer the urgent questions of the Great Khan, Marco Polo speaks of thin cities, cities and memory, cities and desire, perhaps imaginary cities, that blend with real cities.

**City** is a research work on storytelling that explores the languages of narration, movement, music, and visuals, creating a dialogue between different forms of expression and embedding them into a single dramatic path.
