The "Harmonies on the Port" series is preparing to conclude its extraordinary edition with its fifth and final event, scheduled for Friday, June 27th. Once again, the magic will be renewed in the exceptional setting of the "Don Salvatore Pappagallo" Music Palace at Via Cifariello 25, with its enchanting terraces offering breathtaking views of the port and Molfetta Cathedral, an ideal backdrop to amplify the emotions of a concert that promises to be unforgettable.
"Harmonies on the Port" has proven to be a true cultural beacon for the city, offering evenings of rare beauty and intensity, exploring new sonic frontiers and rediscovering the magic of instruments and repertoires. This grand finale will be no exception, proposing a program that promises to deeply move the hearts of listeners, in a perfect blend of piano virtuosity and the profoundness of Russian opera.
This last concert will feature five artists of remarkable caliber, ready to offer the audience a sonic experience rich in nuances and passions.
The evening will open with the talent of Simona Figliolia, a pianist originally from the city of Farinelli, Andria. Figliolia will enchant the audience with a selection of pieces ranging from romanticism to modern expressiveness. Her performance will include Debussy's ethereal "Arabesque" no. 1, the brilliant "Grand Valse brillante" in E-flat major op. 18, and K. Jenkins' energetic "Boogie Woogie Llanoogie." Simona Figliolia's refined touch and profound interpretation promise to "strike deep into the hearts of listeners," offering a memorable start to the evening.
The second part of the concert will be a true musical and sensory journey into romantic Russia, a path that will reveal the most authentic soul of Slavic lyrical opera. Accompanying us on this captivating exploration will be the extraordinary voices of Alina Sivitskaya (mezzo-soprano), Anna Kniazeva (soprano), Claudio Belviso (baritone), and the skilled piano accompaniment of Martino Boscia.
The repertoire will range from the founding fathers of this extraordinary tradition, such as Glinka, whose music laid the groundwork for the development of national opera, passing through Rimsky-Korsakov, who managed to contaminate the Russian tradition with Wagnerian influences, creating masterpieces of extraordinary orchestration and drama. It will finally reach the composer who revolutionized this school, blending it with European musical dictates and making the musical characteristics of Russia loved worldwide: Tchaikovsky. It will be a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the opera arias that have made Russian opera famous, from its beginnings to its moments of maximum expression, celebrating its emotional richness and narrative depth.
"Harmonies on the Port" bids farewell to its audience with an event that perfectly embodies the series' mission: to offer a top-tier cultural experience that nourishes the soul and enriches the community. It is a tribute to the beauty of art and a constant invitation to be surprised by the infinite nuances of music, in a setting of unparalleled beauty.
