CINEMA IN FREEDOM FESTIVAL 2025
**Real People by Olmo Parenti + The Deadliest Migration Route in the World – Project Happiness (Documentaries)**
Every year, thousands of people flee from situations of war, violence, and poverty by crossing the Mediterranean. International law imposes a duty to rescue those in peril at sea, yet coordinating such operations presents various challenges. What happens during a rescue? What do the shipwrecked feel during their journey? Let’s find out by boarding the Ocean Viking.

SOME INFO ABOUT THE CINEMA IN FREEDOM FESTIVAL
On June 19, 2025, L'ARMATA BRANCALEONE reopened the doors of the ExpostModerno arena for the CINEMA IN FREEDOM FESTIVAL 2025.
During the festival, feature films and short films for young people and adults will be presented, and numerous meetings between authors and the public will be organized. All of this will be structured in a series of weekly events that will accompany you throughout the summer, up until about mid-September.
This is an experiment in participatory programming that brings together associations and more, creating a series of screenings for everyone, including your little ones. The Arena is also Pet Friendly.
We, the volunteers, will be at the arena to welcome you, along with the many organizations that have chosen to collaborate with us:
