8:00 PM: The Land of Tales: THE CONFESSIONS OF ZIZA, THE TARANTO CORSAIR. This is the dramatization of one of my stories, which, inspired by real events and characters from my TARANTO IN THE 1700s, tells the extraordinary adventurous life of a poor boat owner perpetually overwhelmed by the overwhelming force of events: compelled by hunger to embark on a pirate ship, he hunts ships of the ever-treacherous East to plunder their goods and people; returned to daily life, during a voyage he is captured by Algerian corsairs and, reduced to slavery, he is made to row on a corsair ship. He then gains appreciation for his navigation skills and agrees to take part in sea raids against Christians (provided they are not from Taranto!). During a conflict with the corsairs of Tripoli, he is captured by them and returns to his condition as a slave. Through a trick, pretending to be another slave for whom a ransom is paid, he manages to return to his homeland, where he peacefully lives out the remaining days of his troubled existence.
8:45 PM: The Land of Music: Maestro Antonio Andriulli (harpsichord) will perform, accompanied by Maestro Nicola Pappalettera (cornetto), a suite of music by Riccio, Barbarino, Crequillon, Grossi Viadana, Palestrina-Rognono, C. Ph Bach, Piazzolla. All with a Christmas theme.
