R.OSA - 10 esercizi per nuovi virtuosismi di Silvia Gribaudi

**CASA DELLE ARTI PRESENTS**
**R.OSA – 10 EXERCISES IN NEW FORMS OF VIRTUOSITY**
by Silvia Gribaudi, with Claudia A. Marsicano

**Friday, October 9, 9:00 p.m. | Casa delle Arti, Conversano**

On Friday, October 9, Casa delle Arti in Conversano opens its autumn programme with one of the most distinctive performances in Silvia Gribaudi’s work: a body that challenges expectations, gravity, and the very idea of virtuosity.

From Botero to Jane Fonda: on the one hand, the soft, monumental forms of the Colombian painter; on the other, the imagery of 1980s fitness, built around training and physical perfection. R.OSA moves between these two worlds, performed by Claudia A. Marsicano in a one-woman show that tackles ten exercises in virtuosity and, through movement, irony, and direct interaction with the audience, constantly shifts the spectator’s point of view.

What is success? In what ways does our image make us slaves? To what extent does our gaze influence the way we look at other people’s bodies? Gribaudi brings these questions to the stage without turning them into a lesson, through a physical, ironic, and irreverent performance in which the audience can become part of the action.

Created in 2017, R.OSA was a finalist for the Ubu Award for Best Dance Performance and for the Rete Critica Award; Claudia A. Marsicano received the 2017 Ubu Award for Best Actress/Performer Under 35.

The event inaugurates Casa delle Arti’s new autumn season as part of **ITs – Identities, Territory, Scenarios**, a project promoted by Artimedia and supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Apulia Region. In its second edition, titled **“Identities in Resonance,”** the project brings together music, theatre, dance, and interdisciplinary forms of expression.

The programme, curated by Stefano Coppola and Carmen De Sandi, grew out of the meeting between established experience in cultural planning and a close attention to contemporary forms of expression, also thanks to the collaboration with Arti SineSpazio 3.0 and Django Music Srl.

The evening will continue after the performance with an aftershow by **MISSPIA DJ**, featuring vinyl records, swing, and rock ’n’ roll.
