Mulieribus Sonus

The Friends of Music of Castellana Grotte, as part of the **5th International Itinerant Organ Festival**, present an interdisciplinary concert combining music, history, and art, in collaboration with the **Research, History and Art Center of Conversano**.

The program features a selection of Gregorian chants accompanied on the portative organ by the specialist **Cristina Alis Raurich** (Spain), an internationally renowned performer in this field, and by the Italian organist **Titti Dell’Orco**.

The **Novum Gaudium Choir**, founded and directed by Father **Anselmo Susca**, has achieved significant recognition at both national and international levels. Among other works, the choir will perform Gregorian pieces dedicated to the Virgin Mary: *Salve Sancta*, *Ave Maria*, *O Maria Virgo Davidica*, and *Mulierum Hodie*.

The event will take place in the ancient **Church of Santa Chiara**, now a museum, with the specific aim of highlighting this historic site as a tribute to the women who served there over the centuries. The church is home to a two-keyboard monastic organ.

The historical section will be presented by **Dr. Candida De Toma**, on the subject: **“The Furnishings of the Monastic Church under the Patronage of the Acquaviva Family.”**

**Dr. Claudio Ermogène Del Medico** will speak on the subject: **“The Three Monastic Organs of Conversano: Santa Chiara, Santi Medici, and San Benedetto,”** the latter having recently been restored.

**The Mayor, the Councillor for Culture, the confraternities, and the Archpriest are invited to this unique event in the history of Conversano, a city so rich in art and history—not only within Puglia.**
