ANTONELLO LOSACCO TRIO feat. MICHAEL ROSEN

Saturday, November 7, 2026 | doors open at 10:00 p.m.
Club 1799 – Acquaviva delle Fonti

A meeting between the creativity of Puglia’s new jazz scene and the international experience of one of the most highly regarded saxophonists on the contemporary jazz scene.

Bassist and composer Antonello Losacco presents his trio, formed with young talents Vitantonio Gasparro and Vito Tenzone, joined for this occasion by the extraordinary participation of American saxophonist Michael Rosen.

At the heart of the concert is an original musical exploration that intertwines contemporary jazz, Mediterranean influences, Nordic atmospheres, and electronic elements. The focus is Losacco’s distinctive seven-string bass, used not only as a rhythmic instrument, but also melodically and harmonically, in a continuous dialogue with the vibraphone’s evocative sounds, the refined textures of the drums, and the saxophone’s intense phrasing.

Michael Rosen, a musician with extensive international experience, has collaborated with artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Enrico Rava, Stefano Bollani, Jim Hall, and Mike Stern, distinguishing himself through his versatility and ability to move across different musical languages.

The repertoire unfolds through original compositions, timbral exploration, and improvisation, giving rise to a musical dialogue in which melodic sensitivity, rhythmic energy, and expressive freedom come together.

A concert that showcases the new generation of Puglian jazz through an international-scale project, combining tradition, experimentation, and new sonic perspectives.
