ARRIVES IN FLORENCE AT THE PUCCINI THEATER
"EL FÚTBOL"
A SHOW NOT TO BE MISSED!
WITH ETTORE BASSI
AND DIRECTED BY FRANCESCO BRANCHETTI
BY GIANVITO PULZONE
A SHOW FULL OF PASSION AND POETRY
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2025

On November 19, the engaging and moving show "El Fútbol" arrives at the Puccini Theater in Florence, after having visited various cities and gaining great success. The show, written by Gianvito Pulzone, benefits from the intense performance by Ettore Bassi and the beautiful direction by Francesco Branchetti. Joining Bassi on stage are Gianvito Pulzone and Oscar Bellomo.

The show EL FÚTBOL is a comprehensive tribute to soccer, dedicated to the spirit of soccer, the spirit of a sport, and a passion that can permeate every inch of a man's body.

At the center of the show is a protagonist who carries on every inch of his skin, every gram of his soul, passion, and heart the passion for soccer; Ettore Bassi portrays a man with the purest soccer passion and evokes some of the greatest soccer players in world history, men for whom playing soccer was like eating, breathing; men who have inspired dreams and given courage to thousands with their generosity and bravery, and still today, recalling the 'magic' of their feats gives one chills. Stories, memories of yesterday and today, evoke the world revolving around soccer, which is sometimes a painful, sometimes exhilarating metaphor for our life and society.

A story with epic traits, full of poetry and emotion, as stated by director Francesco Branchetti - the direction will attempt to restore to the magnificent text the ability to evoke the spirit of soccer, the spirit of sport, the spirit of the game itself through magical atmospheres, colors, lights, sounds. Body, voice, blood, and soul of an actor who gives his all on stage; a splendid performer for a truly moving story full of passion and poetry. Scenes and music will give this marvelous journey a crucial contribution, telling us the moods and fascinating atmospheres that the world of soccer carries.

This is an important event where soccer is a metaphor for values and examples that are important to remember in this conflict and war-ridden society, where it seems impossible to oppose the law of the strongest, but there were men who, with imagination and courage, won and inspired others to believe that there can be a world made of men capable of believing and dreaming: men who became legends but were made of flesh and blood. The oppressed, abandoned, and discriminated men and women could cry out to the world of their existence through the play of these men.
